Puppy Training Program

Tier 1 - Puppy Preschool

Your puppy will be 8 weeks old when joining Puppy Preschool and will stay between 2-4 weeks in the home of the trainer. Your puppy will go home when 10-12 weeks of age.

During these 2-4 weeks, your puppy will:

• Have a great introduction to going potty outside
• Be introduced to sleeping in a crate overnight with several potty breaks
• Have name recognition
• Come when called
• Have a good introduction to walking on a leash and wearing a harness

Tier 2 - Puppy Kindergarten

Your puppy will be 12 weeks old when entering the second tier of training, puppy kindergarten, and will be 12-14 weeks old when going home. Your puppy will stay in the home with the trainer for the duration of this training period and will continue working on and fine tuning the above skills of Puppy Preschool.

Your puppy will:

• Have improved potty skills and can be taken out to potty with longer intervals in between potty breaks
• Sleep calmly in a crate overnight with only one potty break
• Be introduced to new people and dogs to improve social skills
• Go on several 15-20 minute car rides

Tier 3. - Puppy Elementary School

Your puppy will be 14 weeks old when entering this third tier of puppy training called Puppy Elementary School and will be 14-16 weeks old when going home. Your puppy will stay in the home of the trainer for the duration of this training period and will build on and fine tune the above skills of Puppy Preschool and Puppy Kindergarten. In addition to fine-tuning these skills, your puppy will:

• Learn to “Sit” on command
• Learn the commands “Wait” and “Stay”
• Be introduced to grooming in the trainer’s home
• Be introduced to grooming in a salon (after receiving all vaccinations except rabies)
• Sleep in a crate overnight without potty breaks
• Learn to walk on a leash in public
• Learn not to jump on people
